Its body is 100% aluminum, more rigid and extremely light, which guarantees better performance, lower fuel consumption and, consequently, lower emissions rates than its other versions.

Pure refinement

The interior of the Range Rover SVAutobiography is totally focused on providing extreme luxury to the occupants. The extensive use of aluminum, wood and noble leather is present in every detail ranging from the finishing of large parts like panel, doors, seats and steering wheel, to small pieces like the edge of the Start / Stop button and the gear selector. The single rear seat that accompanies the Range Rover line has been replaced by two individual Italian executive seats of the Poltrona Frau brand, which have electric adjustments and foot rest. As with the front seats, the rear seats are also equipped with massage, heating and cooling programs, Windsor noble leather trim and a choice of custom trim colors.

Between the two seats was placed a central console with a refrigerated compartment with capacity for a bottle of champagne. Finished in wood or aluminum, the console also houses two wireless controls that control the functions of the rear entertainment system consisting of two independent screens. Folding tables with leather or wood finish and electric drive were arranged in the back of the front seats, ideal for a notebook or even a small meal. If the occupants have comfort at their disposal, the driver has the best technology available within the automobile industry. The digital dashboard features a high resolution TFT display. The model also features the Head-Up Dislpay laser system, which projects information such as the current speed and navigation instructions of the GPS system onto the windscreen. As a worldwide novelty at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Startech leaves the new Range Rover Velar with a more aggressive image. At least until it is a reality the sporty and high performance SVR, with which will complete the line of the British luxury SUV. But in the meantime, the German trainer will be presenting a comprehensive customization program at Palexpo that greatly improves the profile of Land Rover’s luxury model, designed especially not to break with the elegant original lines. This customization program has a total of 16 pieces that fit perfectly in place of the originals, so it is not necessary to make special modifications, just replace them.

The front has a new large bumper with large air intakes and integrated daytime running lights, especially the horizontal that is just inches from the asphalt, an image much more powerful than the standard model. The marked wheel arches – with protective frames in the same body color – add sixty millimeters to the overall width of the Velar. The new rear bumper has a central part that shows two large exhaust and a short diffuser with marked plumbing.  In addition, on the rear cover and at the end of the roof features a more prominent spoiler, almost a visor on the rear window glass. Body modifications are completed with 22-inch diameter alloy wheels in Monostar M five-spoke design, painted black and with a center nut that can be black, silver, red or blue. They are paved with extra-wide 295/35 R 22 tires that fit perfectly into the large wheel arches.  This is aesthetically pleasing, as Startech was also concerned with driving dynamics, offering a special module that controls the air suspension and can lower the height by thirty millimeters, improving behavior and driving with a lower center of gravity, at the same time time in which for all the mechanical supply is also offered an electronic sound module that generates a note of its own for the powerful gasoline V8 engine.  The interior was also retouched by the German preparer with special details such as pedals and foot rest in aluminum, the usual door sill fills with Startech logo backlit, wood and carbon applications, plus the best leathers and other materials sophisticated to stow the benches in any color, betting on a more luxurious and sporty style, to the taste of the client.

Most of the current designers can be anything but discreet, and among all of them certainly, Lumma Design is one of the most outstanding for dumbing down every model that passes through the hands of their specialists. The last to have received the treatment of the Germans was the Range Rover Velar which, after the modifications, became the Lumma CLR GT. It must be admitted that the British SUV, situated between the Evoque and the Ranger Rover Sport, is considered a harmonious model, with a very successful design that undoubtedly does not require any extra extra. But precisely because of this, it also becomes a challenge that the coaches can not resist.

Lumma Design performed a work in the same line that we could already see in its previous creations. The most eye-catching is the body kit, which not only widens the all-terrain by 100mm thanks to muscular wheel arches but also incorporates a specific front bumper with a new grille and larger air intakes. In the lateral skirts a darkened range appears, while in the rear the airfoil and the diffuser share the protagonism, which houses two double exits of rectangular form. We also chose to use carbon fiber in various elements such as the grille, the blades that cut the air intakes and the exterior frames of the doors. This material can optionally be extended to the rearview mirror housings and the vast majority of bodywork elements. The last detail, and one of the most visible, are the wheels that can be five or seven double spokes in sizes of 22 and 23 inches, driven by Michelin and Continental tires, respectively. There are no images of the interior, but the preparer lists several modifications: specific rugs with the company logo, aluminum pedals and sports steering wheel. Unfortunately there are no glimpses of mechanical improvements, so the owners of a Lumma CLR GT will have to comply with Velar’s standard mechanics: three diesel engines from 180 to 300 hp and three petrol engines from 250 to 380 hp.

Mansory has just presented its work involving the Range Rover Velar. While many may find that the British luxury SUV does not need many additives, the coaches can always add something. Mansory has decided to upgrade the Range Rover Velar by installing an aerodynamic package that includes a front spoiler, a rear diffuser, a roof spoiler, rearview mirror covers, a new grille and new hood, and other details. All components are made of carbon fiber that meets what Mansory calls its quality standards. The German preparer also offers alloy wheels in measures of 22 and 23 inches, as well as the possibility of also personalizing the interior of the Velar, giving its special touch. The mechanical modifications are minimal, although it should be mentioned that the ECU has been reprogrammed and a stainless steel exhaust has been incorporated, thanks to this and according to the preparer, 45 extra cvs were obtained for any of the engines that equip the Velar.
